Accountant – Tax Executive

Looking for a skilled Accountant / Tax Executive to join our team in Islamabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, and providing financial insights to support decision-making. This role requires a thorough understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and strong analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting and Financial Reporting

• Prepare, manage, and oversee daily accounting transactions, including journal entries, ledger reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and prepare financial statements.
• Analyze financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.

2. Tax Preparation and Compliance

• Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other relevant local taxes.
• Ensure timely submission of all tax filings, including annual and quarterly returns.
• Maintain compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.

3. Documentation and Record Keeping

• Ensure organized and up-to-date documentation of all financial and tax records.
• Prepare detailed reports and summaries for management review and compliance purposes.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CA) is preferred.
• Proven experience in accounting and tax preparation.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Odoo) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of local tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

Preferred:

• Experience in dealing with FBR and local tax authorities.
• Minimum 3 years of experience is required.
